Prof. Youjun Zhang is the Director General of the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. His research mainly focuses on the outbreak mechanism and green control basis of major vegetable pests including whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella), thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis), spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) and chive maggot (Bradysia odoriphaga), etc. He has published >200 papers in Cell, Nature Communications, PNAS, Science Advances, Advanced Science as the corresponding author. These achievements have been selected as the Top 10 Scientific and Technological Progresses of China (2021) and the Top 10 Major Advances in Agricultural Science of China (2021 & 2022), and the 2023 SIP Impact Award. |

Dr. Haiping Wang is currently a professor at Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He is mainly engaged in the research of genetic diversity and phylogeny of vegetable germplasm resources, construction of core germplasm of major vegetables, and research on innovative utilization of vegetable germplasm based on modern biotechnology. He has edited and co-edited 7 books, published over 130 papers in international and domestic journals such as Nature Genetics, Molecular Plant, Nucleic Acids Research, and Horticulture Research. Prof. Zhang is an expert in the field of vegetable germplasm resources. He is interested in the researches on the Cruciferous vegetables and the wild relatives. Use genetic, genomic and transcriptomic technology to investigate the genetic diversity, explore the horticultural important genes in the germplasm resources. And also innovate new germplasm by distant hybridization of inter- species and inter-genera. Dr. Yang Wenlong, graduated from Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 2006 to 2018, he was engaged in wheat molecular breeding research in the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In December 2018, he joined the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences to engage in precise identification of vegetable germplasm resources and related scientific research. Mainly focus on the mechanism of key functional genes related to vegetable quality and disease resistance, develop effective molecular markers, and explore the genetic evolution relationship of germplasm resources; he also conducts research on cryopreservation of lily resources, etc. He has published over 100 research papers in academic journals. | ||
